OUR STORY

A shared foundation. A different core capability.

Marrak Boodja is an Indigenous-owned workforce, site services and project support company founded by Cody Hill, a proud Wajuk Noongar man, and lifelong friend and business partner Jacques O’Brien.

The business works alongside Warden Boodja, their related transport and logistics operation, while maintaining a clear focus of its own: people, trades, operators and the practical services major projects need to keep moving.

Our purpose is simple: major projects need people and services. Marrak Boodja provides them. We aim to build relationships with mining companies, principal contractors and subcontractors by delivering capable, reliable and site-ready workforce solutions.

Over time, we intend to grow beyond individual placements into trade and specialist workforce, broader site services, larger service packages and long-term preferred-supplier relationships.

PROUDLY INDIGENOUS

Real participation. Real outcomes.

Our Indigenous identity is an important part of who we are, but capability is what sustains our client relationships.

We want Marrak Boodja to create genuine Indigenous employment and career pathways — from entry-level opportunities through to trades, skilled roles, supervision and long-term careers.

That means supporting training, qualifications, upskilling and participation in ways that create commercial value for projects and meaningful outcomes for people and communities.

Our approach is not simply: “Use us because we’re Indigenous.”

Our approach is: we are an Indigenous business that can provide the workforce and services clients genuinely need to deliver their projects.

Indigenous procurement may open the door. Safety, reliability, pricing, capability and performance are what keep the relationship.
